What is IMAGINASIAN?
ImaginAsian is UCD Chi Delta Theta's annual Asian-American talent showcase. Up and coming performances from all over the bay, Sacramento area, as well as students of UCD are invited to perform. Part of the purpose of ImaginAsian is to broadcast the wide variety of Asian-American talents in the performing arts as well as to partake in philanthropy events for our community
What charity do you donate to?
Every year we pick a different charity organization, mostly local, to donate our proceeds to. Last year, we donated our ImaginAsian proceeds to W.E.A.V.E., women escaping a violent enviornment, which provides services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Sacramento-Yolo County Area. The year before that wasto Family House, a non-profit organization based in SF that provide housing for families of seriously ill children recieving treatment at UCSF Children's Hosipital.
What kind of talents do you showcase?
Every year we invite every local and regional talents to perform for our showcase. Everything from comedy and musical talents, to magic shows are featured in ImaginAsian.
What do I do if I want to perform in ImaginAsian?
All you have to do is contact our Cultural Chair for information on how to perform in our annual ImaginAsian show. Also, if you have someone in particular that you would like to see perform, please don't hesitate to tell us about them! We are always looking for fresh talents!
